FOTD – College Graduation Photo Makeup

Today I had my grad photos taken for my upcoming college graduation, whoohoo! I spent a little extra time on my makeup this morning to get it just right and decided I would post some pictures of the products I used. All products are Younique.

Skin:IMG_20150401_114218small

  • Uplift Eye Serum
  • Refreshed Rosewater
  • Glorious Face and Eye Primer
  • Mineral Touch Powder in Velour
  • Beachfront Bronzer in Sunset

Lips:

  • Stiff Upper Lip Lip Stain in Sappy

Eyes:

  • Glorious Face and Eye Primer
  • Splurge Cream Shadow in Elegant
  • Moodstruck Precision Pencil in Pristine
  • Moodstruck Precision Pencil in Perfect
  • 3D Fiber Lash Mascara

I started by applying Uplift Eye Serum in my entire eye area. It’s so moisturizing and the bottle lasts forever because I only need a drop to do both eyes. I spritzed some Refreshed Rosewater all over to minimize redness and moisturize (plus it smells like heaven, so relaxing!). Then I applied the Glorious Face and Eye Primer to my eyelids and the rest of my face.

I applied Mineral Touch Powder in “Velour” all over my skin using the sponge it comes with, and I added another layer with my powder brush to make sure it set. Then I used a bronzer brush to apply Beachfront Bronzer in “Sunset” all over my face and neck, concentrating on my temples, cheekbones, and chin.

On my lips, I applied Stiff Upper Lip Lip Stain in “Sappy”. I like to apply multiple coats to make sure the colour is even and as dark as I want it to be. I applied it to both lips, let it dry, then dusted a little Touch Powder on top, and added another coat of lip stain. I repeated this a few times.

For my eyes, I first curled my eyelashes. Then I applied Moodstruck Precision Pencil in Perfect (black) to my upper lid. Then I applied Splurge Cream Shadow in Elegant all over the lid, and redrew my line of black eye liner. This helped the liner stay perfectly in place and gave it a little shimmer too. I applied Moodstruck Precision Pencil in Pristine (white) to my lower waterline, and below my lower lash line, to brighten my eyes up a bit and make me look more awake. I applied several coats of Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lash Mascara to my eyelashes, brushing them between coats. Normally, I only use 1 or 2 coats of mascara because I want my lashes to be long and voluminous, but not over-the-top. Today, because I was getting my photo taken, I wore several coats of the mascara, brushing them in between but not worrying too much about how perfect they were. Eyelashes never seem to be as visible in photos as they are in real life, so I wanted them to be really big and thick so they’d show up well in the pictures.

What do you think? I got lots of compliments on my lashes and my makeup today, which is always nice! I’m really happy with the way it turned out, and it’s a pretty basic makeup look that you could wear every day with more neutral lips and less mascara if you wanted to. My photos were really nice! I only got to look at them quickly on the camera screen before I left, but I’ll get the best proofs in a few weeks. I cannot wait to see them!

Let me know what you think!!
