Wedding Planning – My Bridal Party

Two days ago, my fiance and I put the deposit on our venue and set an official date. Yesterday I asked my bridesmaids and maid of honour to be part of my upcoming big day this summer, and they all said yes! ❤

I can’t believe I forgot to take photos of the boxes I used to ask them! The one I used in this post was taken by one of them after opening it. 🙂

My future mother-in-law created little pink boxes using her cricut machine, and I added black stamps of flowers and a bride and groom. Inside, I enclosed a ring pop (candy ring), and a small card (also printed on the cricut) with a hand-written note inside, and some heart cut-outs. I closed the boxes with gold ribbon.

It was a hit! They loved them. My sister is my maid of honour, and 4 of my friends are going to be bridesmaids. I know they are going to make my wedding day so much fun.

We might take a road trip some day in the coming months to shop for bridesmaid dresses, as I may have already found a dress for myself. I haven’t decided yet for certain, but there is one I definitely have my eye on!

I couldn’t have predicted their responses. They were all so honoured! My request was met with hugs, squeals of excitement, and even tears. I smiled all day long and am still smiling this morning, thinking about how lucky I am to have so many supportive people in my life who are so happy for me. My friends and I may not see each other every day, but when we do see each other we pick up where we left off.

Now the rest of the wedding planning can begin!
